Philosophy
I look at weddings in the same way I look at life: They should be fun and interesting and everyone should have a good time. There will always be things that you have to do, but that does not mean you can’t enjoy yourselves along the way. So I see it as my job to help you facilitate whatever kind of wedding it is that brings you and your loved ones the most joy. I work with you to personalize the ceremony with everything from telling the stories which define your relationship, to writing individual vows, to creating unique unity moments. As a former high school English teacher, I care very much about the words I use in my ceremonies. I spend a lot of time in my diction choice and syntactic construction so that the ceremony has not only a really nice sound, but also a beautiful flow. Writing ceremonies like this takes a little bit longer, but I can’t imagine any other way of doing it. I am enamored with the pomp and pageantry of weddings, but I have always believed that just because something is a tradition does not mean it has to be dull and lifeless. It has grown into kind of a passion to be able to create life and personality within the landscape of a traditional ceremony.
