Packages and Fees

Full Custom Wedding Ceremony . . . . . . . $600.00

Most weddings fall under this heading. It includes a fully personalized wedding ceremony, early draft, editing, performance, and handling of all official paperwork.

Intimate Engagement . . . . . . . . . . . . $250.00 – $450.00

For smaller weddings of less than 20 people, my prices are a little bit lower. This includes a smaller ceremony, early draft, editing, performance, and handling of all official paperwork.

Elopement . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $100.00 – $150.00

Nothing but the basics with myself and the two of you, a quick kiss, and some paperwork. More than the courthouse, but less than a shindig. If you come to me, it’s $100 or, if you want to meet at a nice location around Columbus of your choosing, it is $150. Please note that adding any number of guests (short of a photographer) makes it no longer an elopement and prices jump up to the Intimate Engagement zone.

Script Writing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $300.00

Have a friend that you want to perform your ceremony, but who may not be the best writer? I can help. I’ll create an entire customized ceremony for them to read for the enjoyment of your friends, family, and loved ones.

Rehearsals . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $100.00

I am always happy to help the wedding party practice before the big show goes down. Some weddings don’t have a lot of moving parts and a rehearsal isn’t necessary, so they are always optional.

Travel . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $1.00 per mile

I work mostly in and around Columbus, Ohio, so weddings around the city have no additional cost. At the same time, I am happy to travel all over the state (and occasionally out of state) to perform for people. With the added time investment and cost which comes with travel, there is an additional fee added to my services as listed above.

Rush Ceremony Writing . . . . . . . . . . . . 20% of the total cost

Sometimes the need for an officiant pops up at the last minute for any number of reasons. In those circumstances, I am happy to step in and help out if I can, but that impacts what is generally a pretty tight writing schedule. So if you hire me within 3 weeks of the wedding and it is not an elopement, there is an extra charge to “jump the line” as it were.
